Tulare Regional Medical Center Begins Recruitment Process for Hospital Employees

The Tulare Local Healthcare District Board of Directors announces that recruitment for hospital employees is underway in preparation for the reopening of Tulare Regional Medical Center (TRMC) in the near future.

“We are excited that we are moving forward with the recruitment and interview process to staff TRMC, bringing us to our goal of creating a viable and productive community hospital,” says Larry Blitz, interim CEO for the District.

Interviewing for jobs will begin the week of November 27. Applicants are directed to obtain an application from the website: https://tularelocalhealthcaredistrict.org/hospital-employee-recruitment and follow instructions for submittal. In addition, a job fair hosted by the Employment Development Department (EDD) is tentatively scheduled for early December.

“Our outreach to recruit and interview for all hospital positions is a critical part of our efforts to staff TRMC at the appropriate level so that it best serves the community,” says Board Chairman Kevin Northcraft.

  1. I truly hope special consideration will be given to the employees that were already working at the hospital and evolutions.

    • Legally the state of California is an equal opportunity employer, they will need to consider all applicants. The most qualified should be hired. If you’re a great employee with great references you probably have nothing to worry about.
I’m sure the board recognizes that many great employees stayed and many great employees left. May the best man/woman get the job.
Also, board please weed out the bad apples that were HCCA advocates and would bring it to the work place. This is the reason they need to hire by the law.

  2. I am very happy to know that the district is being positive. Reopening the hospital is going to be great for Tulare.
I also too believe that the previous staff that stayed till the end should be considered first to get their positions back.

  3. Recruiting employees prior to any announcement of who will be partnering with TRMC? Having Benzeevi gone and having a united board are first really BIG steps, but additional infrastructure has to be put in place for future success. Otherwise, operations will continue as they were.

    • Former TRMC employee. Once the hospital is open and running smoothly and bringing in doctors and their patients. Please don’t reapply for a position. They don’t need your type of negative working there.

  4. The problem is all the bad apples behind the new board that controls everything, carrying frustration and jealousy accumulated over the years.

    • The only people I see that support the new board (or as you like to call,”bad apples who control everything”) are those that want Crooked benny gone, and for good reason – crooked benny is a crook!

Now “in the works” is to get the “new CEO” in to get the hospital running like a REAL hospital for a change.

Would you know what day the employees are supposed to be paid? I know the judge moved back the date to the 22nd for Crooked benny. Maybe you know something.

  5. Hey, I have an idea. Let’s distract the employees who are facing the holidays without jobs, income, Health insurance, or Hope, by having them go online and fill out job applications for jobs that do not legally exist.

We must keep reminding people that the “bad man” had to be run out because he was going to shutdown the hospital and destroy our jobs.

Making decisions that cause Suffering is easy when it’s SOMEONE ELSE doing the suffering.

Yes, it was a BAD contract. But, wiser men with clearer heads would have used their overwhelming MAJORITY Power to Force change. It would not have been as fast, but we would have seen better results. What we got is called “surgery with a hatchet.”

GOD BLESS THE “TULARE 525,” who sacrificed ALL so a few could feel powerful this Thanksgiving.

    • Why would “wiser men” want to keep Crooked benny in longer and drag it out longer with him? That certainly would not have been using a clear head.

Makes no seance what you are saying…

The new wise men took the splinter out and now the the healing begins.

And I think it’s great they are staring recruiting. That’s using a clear head to get employees lined up for when they do open. Sounds like you prefer they not do that and they wait till the last minute – dragging it out..

      • I was to leave tomorrow, for urgent surgery in San Fransisco. Because of the seriousness of my condition, the surgeon at UCSF said he would operate on me on Thanksgiving Day a 6 hour surgery, Although we were told that our coverage would end 11/27, on a hunch, I called HR only to learn that our HCCA health coverage will be CANCELLED as of 11-22-17 and NO COBRA.

I had to cancel the surgery, This TRMC may be a fight between good and evil to some… it could cost me my life,

I don’t want sympathy. I just want people to realize that it is EASY to make decisions when your life is untouched and OTHERS pay the consequences of your decision.

        • Another vindictive Bensleazy screw Tulare action. Never cared. No heart! It’s all about the money! So sorry to all that are hurting.

        • You can blame Crooked benny for all of this, Suffering Now.

He had a choice to cooperate and make this smooth but he chose not too. Would it be better for the community to leave in a shady CEO and a hospital that was not safe (and there is PLENTY of arguments for that one!)

I’m sorry if you are sick but the good and benefit for the majority as a whole must prevail here. It is not smart to leave a bad hospital that is unhealthy to the community open just because some are using the insurance.

Many people died at that hospital because of the lack of quality care.

But all this goes bake to Crooked benny – he is the one one responsible for running a hospital that bills were not being paid and no doctors wanted to work there anymore. He is the one that ran all the patients to Visalia’s hospital because they did not want to go to HCCA out of fear. Crooked benny is responsible for all that.

Hopefully the new hospital will be running soon and then the hospital will be safe.

I’m sorry Crooked benny decided not to cooperate to make things go smooth – but he did and for that I am sorry.

  6. Starting recruitment? For what, a closed hospital, clinics and Evo? With no plan to open? Yes, a diversion I think. A feel good move by the Board? So suffering Now says there will be no Cobra? Surgery cancelled? Nice work new Board, move up the date and continue to screw the employees just because of your political vendetta. So now 500 plus employees and their families face Thanksgiving with no job, no Cobra or health insurance, keep patting yourself on the back, job well done. Oh and it’s flu season, no vaccinations, no clinics, no ED, no hospital. Great work CFHA and new Board, very very selfish, purporting to be “advocates” for Tulare, your only interested in getting rid of Kumar and Benzeevi, looks like you screwed the community to do it.

    • I think you get stuck on PLANS!!

You seem to be the only one (we’ll along with a few other Crooked Benny shills) that think there is no plan.

As things move along I’m sure you will be able to figure it out.

  7. It is extremely important that HCCA employees know that their health insurance coverage ends NOVEMBER 22 (not 11/27) and additionally, since HCCA is closing the plan, there will be NO option to buy COBRA coverage,

Additionally, you should know that under present law, you face a fine if you do not get insurance. One more piece of news I learned today, insurance companies are no longer forced to cover PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS.

I made Mr. Jamaica aware of what I had discovered earlier this evening so he could pass along to the Board.

I am glad that I found out about the change of plans on the health insurance today, since I was going to San Francisco for an expensive surgery tomorrow.

I’m extremely concerned about my well-being but also concerned about the other 525+ FAMILIES who will be impacted by this.

After talking to Mr. Jamaica, I am quite certain that the NEW board had no forethought of these unforeseen consequences.

As you might expect, I’m extremely concerned about my health having a life threatening condition and no way to get the help I need.

I am also extremely concerned about the 525+ FAMILIES who face uncertain times as well.

I’ve seen everyone having their fun name-calling, and finger-pointing and placing blame. The time for those things is past. It is time to take a good look at where we are and what we have.

The citizens wanted control of the hospital and now have it (as is, where is). 525 households aren’t so excited about the holidays this year.

We have a full and complete board now. I fear that the mess they have inherited and the battle they have joined it Is much bigger than they imagined.

If we are to have a hospital in Tulare we must Focus on the future and work as hard as we can to help the new board to raise this shipwreck and make it seaworthy again.

We must put our support and yes even our prayers behind the new board. They will not be perfect but who among us is.

I house divided against itself cannot stand. We must unite and move forward or we will end up with nothing.

  8. Suffering now go get med-cal. Remember 45% of Tulare County is on it. Something to be proud of. Right? Yes it was not the best time for this to happen but when is? Let’s give this board a chance. Remember Mr B wasn’t paying us. How long did you want that to go on?
