Chief Jason Salazar announces the promotion of Amy Watkins to the position of Lieutenant.
Amy began her employment with the Visalia Police Department in 2000. As an officer, Amy has held assignments in the Patrol Division, Youth Services Unit, and Violent Crimes Unit.
In April of 2009, Amy was promoted to the position of Sergeant and held assignments in the Patrol Division and the Professional Standards Bureau where she served as both the Department’s Public Information Officer and Training Sergeant. Prior to her promotion, Amy was assigned as the Property Crimes Sergeant.
Amy holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.
Amy’s promotion will be effective Saturday, April 4, 2015.
