ImagineU Announces Summer Activities

Rocket launches, animals from Chaffee Zoo and panning for gold are some of the activities being offered at the Summer Camp offered by ImagineU Children’s Museum in Visalia from July 22-25.

The cost for each class is $3 for members and $8 for non-members. Each class is limited to 20 children. Pre-registration and prepayment are required.

  • Tuesday, July 22 – Watercolor painting with award-winning watercolorist Kacey Fansett at 10am and noon. Arts and crafts with Garden Street Studio at 2pm.
  • Wednesday, July 23 – Touch and interact with animals from the Fresno Chaffee Zoo at 10 and 11:30am. Construct a bottle rocket and watch it blast off at 2pm.
  • Thursday, July 24 – Create your own ceramics with Sherley Tucker at 10am and noon. Learn how to drum, taught by Eric Anderson, at 2pm.
  • Friday, July 25 – Travel back to the Old West and pan for gold. Choose from five different times: 10 and 11:30am, 2:45 and 4:20pm, and also during Family Night at 6:40pm. Cost for the gold panning is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.

ImagineU will continue Family Nights on the fourth Friday in July and August from 6-8pm. Family Nights were created for those who aren’t able to attend the museum during regular hours. The cost is the same as regular admittance: $5 for adults and children 2 and over, and free for children under 2.
