‘Visalia High School Art Showcase 2014’ Runs May 2nd through 18th

The Creative Center’s Jon Ginsburg Gallery will host “The Visalia High School Art Showcase 2014,” a juried art exhibit featuring the art of Visalia high school students, May 2-18.

This showcase is an opportunity for Visalia high school art students to professionally present their selected work in a public gallery setting. Five Visalia high schools – Mt. Whitney, Redwood, Golden West, El Diamante and Central Valley Christian – have been invited to participate bringing in a variety of mediums. Awards will be given to the students in several different categories, as well as a “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice” honor.

The “Preview” Art Reception will be held in conjunction with the First Friday Downtown Art Walk on Friday, May 2, from 6-8pm. The “Awards” Reception is scheduled for Friday, May 9, from 5-7pm, with the awards presentation at 6pm. Both events are free.

The Jon Ginsburg Gallery, 410 E. Race St., Visalia, is open to the public Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm. Please check in at the business office at 606 N. Bridge St.
