The USSR responded to the threat by putting missiles in Cuba, threatening us back. Thank God that did not result in war. Ukraine is the same thing: our CIA put forward operating bases in to trigger Russia. This opened up an incredible amount of money laundering and theft, as we sent "aid" to fund the war. It appears to me that Jim Costa doesn't want to see the gravy train end. Good to know.
