Sad to lose it. I agree with Mr Rose...it wuld be great to see an artifact made of the wood. However, I think a carving should remain in the same location as the tree. If the tree is in fact dead then it is necessary that it be cut down. I would like to see if a wood working artist would like to make something with the wood from the tree and then donate it to the Mooney Grove Park. Then he or she can keep the rest of the historical wood for himself as a thank you for making the artifact for the park.
