I was met with a locked door and when a women opened the door she had a donut in her hand. Newer policy to make an appointment to get the burial for family. My business was why do the grounds men run over the vases. Two family members were destroyed. I brought to the barely open door. She was rude and did not seem concerned let alone apologize. She replaced the one I brought to the door but would not trust me to bring the other vase back after I replaced it. Plus they are breaking up all the cement around the markers. I don't know what your categorizing as nitpicking, but weeds almost completely obscuring flat headstones and 2 foot tall weeds around upright headstones is gross negligence. There are volunteers already that participate in organized work days at the cemetery and often instead of working on projects to further enhance the cemetery they have to do maintenance that the groundskeepers are being paid to do. What's interesting is that no matter what the criticism of the condition of the grounds there is always an excuse, too much rain, too hot, too little rain...and now you contend they cant do their job because they're distracted by comments on the internet?? The golf course groundskeepers around here keep they're courses beautiful year round, wonder what kind of sorcery they use. I don't know why anyone would want to work for the cemetery with all the drama people be stirring up there. Maybe if there wasn't an article harassing the employees every two weeks they'd be able to get some work done instead of having to deal with all the Karen's on these websites. We all have people we care about that are resting at this cemetery and keeping it nice is a priority but nitpicking every little thing the employees do there isn't exactly helping either. Maybe they should offer volunteers hrs since this community cares so much and you all can go out there with some weedeaters and rakes and put your labor where your mouth is.
