He'll file charges in or near an election year and then dump the case later. Don't believe that? He charged a former Visalia Police officer with 2 counts of sexual battery for groping a woman at a bar, then DISMISSED both sexual battery charges and plea bargained the case for just one count of simple battery with NO sex registration at all. Then Ward just recently agreed to DISMISS that case on 2/9/23 and it was totally DISMISSED. WHAT? See for yourself: VCM400346. This commenter is putting together a list of these cases that DA Tim Ward has filed and then plea bargained away for nothing, with NO Justice for the victims of crime. He is no doubt planning on DUMPING the Benzeevi case too which he only investigated once he had an opponent for the 2018 election. Valley Voice, you should look into this, please, for the citizens of Tulare, who deserve a competent DA who will stand up to crime and not run scared time after time.
