Exactly. Misuse of municipal funds and lack of safety is a far more important issue to voters than Meyers would like to believe.

99 percent of the people that get arrested in Tulare Co are repeat offenders. Thats wasting the taxpayers money and the polices and sheriffs valuable time. Gang members, druggies & thieves shouldn't get bail let alone released early. You can have a million cops but if they run the jails like the 3 stooges it doesn't do any good. Non non non is a joke. Put the inmates in tents if you have too. You don't have to do what the state says. They fought the governor on mask mandates. Why release gang members, thieves who steal and druggies?

Cities can't give every dime to there police depts to play ring around the rosy with the: gangs, druggies & thieves. They need to tell the sheriff to run the jails right. They don't have to do what the state says. California gave Tulare Co money to build a new jail & courthouse in Porterville. So, the counties would have more supervision of their criminals. Having said that you don't give the city mangers big money and retirement. And, others big money and retirement. The cop on the beat risking their life everyday should get the best pay not retirees. And, they can afford to hire maybe 10 more cops. Exeter is a rich town and they can tax the rich more. Have a sales tax or something just for hiring cops.

That would take a special set of critical thinking skills. It is easier to just blame the whole agency and demand they all be fired because that is what "Letsbefred's" do.

Do you think any of the current cops were working 45 years ago?

Has he ever offered an explanation account how his agency manager to not identify one of their own as the state's most notorious serial killer and rapist for nearly 45 years?

Even though he shot a Visalia cop early on his violent spree?

Exeter has the best Police Chief in it's history. John Hall is a stand up guy. If the residents want to be safe , they need to invest in the people who protect their community.

Just to be clear, when we are talking about Exeter police, we are talking about the same agency that for 45 years did not identify one of their own as California's most prolific, vicious and notorious serial killers-rapist ever.

Nor did they explain or apologize for their failure once the truth was known.

They should all be replaced. The only people they are good at protecting are each other.

Riddle seems ok with this generations-long corruption that has resulted in the death and rape of so many and the disdain by the current force of the entire community.

Also, Exeter's downtown is nothing like Visalia's downtown. To suggest that it is is both laughable and in this context, damnable.

In political love Garver, a much better person than myself and my son’s favorite teacher , didn’t make any comments. Those comments were made by the publisher and editor of the Exeter Sun.
However I have been juxtaposition to Garver on major action item issues: spending of Covid money, no on businesses allowed to sell crack pipes vaping equipment next to places where kids frequent, asking for future ordinances to protect our kids. At Church I asked our beloved coach for coffee saying ‘ if I ran and we voted the same that would be ego talking but here’s where I have an issue.’ He said ‘I’ll think about it [coffee]’. And that’s ok. The public Safety issue completely took precedent after my
neighborhood’s shooting. I felt if
District D voters felt the same then
I would win with a solid message to
council and city management; if not then I would roll up my sleeves and
work hard for Council and the places where I have been appointed (Planning Commissioner, TCAG, Cemetery Trustee). I’ve been working hard for Exeter as a full time volunteer, including at the highschool long before running for Council. It didn’t take an appointment City Council or an election to City Council for me to serve on multiple committees and boards. Ballots are still being counted. Should I loose it will be an honor to continue to serve the City of Exeter and Exeter City Council anyway I can. Let’s all come to the table!
