I am a retired insurance agent and had 3 claims for accidents due to hitting potholes in Pixley/Tipton area in 2019. Where are the road/gas tax dollars going? Certainly not to our county. We took a cross country trip and the roads in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, everywhere were beautiful, Medians were mowed, no trash, no potholes. Here in California where the gas prices are $1.00+ more per gallon due to taxes to fix roads, we have weeds, trash, potholes and homeless encampments to look at. Pete Vander Poel, county supervisor and Devin Nunes it is time to step up, do what you were elected to do and demand attention to our county and small town roads. I am appalled by the condition of our Tulare county. This is so true of almost all of Tulare County roads. I was raised there myself and I have 2 children that still live there. It is so hard to go visit them because the roads are so bad! And I mean major road damage that will tear up your vehicle, that you have to drive in a S path not a straight line. I have been saying for years what is the tax money being used for??
