The stamp must be present with the weapon at all times. You may let a guest shoot it under your direct supervision but not relinquish custody unsupervised. You are required to keep it secured from all unauthorized persons under penalty of law and must report any theft immediately to ATF and local law enforcement. If you move you must notify ATF within 10 days of your new address. You may only sell it through an ATF licensed dealer and only relinquish the weapon to them to transfer to a new buy that has passed the same background checks. If you violate any of these riles it os a felony and you go to prison. That said there are millions of americans that have passed this same requirement to own sound supressors called silencers. They are not silent just quiet enough to prevent hearing damage and be a better neighbor. Only subsonic >1000fps ammo is quieter but not silent. Since an addendum in 1986 banning the sale of fully automatic weapons made after 1986 from sale to the public the price of existing inventory exeeds $10,000 per firearm. That limits the market to those that can afford such weapons. While fun to shoot they are a novelty and waste ammo at a reticules rate only wealthy people could afford.
