I though am disappointed at certain things with Ms.Shuklian , I've known her for a very long time when she did stand up comedy ..No disrespect I didn't care for her comedy then and I dont care for how she got the mayor vote .. Nothing has been done since she got into office and she has not called me back about the homeless issue .. I used to email Ms Shuklian about the trash and lack of upkeep in our canals that was 6 yrs ago .. This is my Dad's town also he was born and raised here his mom and father also , he also was a county employee , then became a city employee for 40plus yrs .. My Dad is a honest man No doubt .. The issues he has explained to me about things is awful and shameful of our city individuals ... I do not care for Ms Shuklian or Phil Cox he is very corrupt and has been since 90s I know this cause I worked with a builder that worked with him .. It shames me !! Ms.Shuklian used her lifestyle at first to gain advantage and votes not cool .. I do not like being lied to our visalian don't like being lied to also .. As far as down town , what bothered me a Person who was hit by a 18 yr old drunk driver friend was killed instantly .. Ms Shuklian promoted alchol liscense for down town .. Anyone want to go to the court house go down to were one pays for their DUIs and see how young drunk drivers issues have risen !!! She didn't promote a safe downtown she did what got her votes .. Ms Shuklian said she would contact me about the homeless issue .. Still waiting .. She has done this to many !! I would like to see an audit of from when she started to now !! On all the counsel members !! People are not nieve and it's getting old news !! This is my town also !! And Mr. Link he upset me big time while the counsel is sitting around getting paid .. My niece is homelss and hundreds of young people are homeless .. When I gave my 3 minutes .. They all wanted my name and number haven't heard a word from anyone .. Bob Link comes up to me and say I am sorry your niece is homeless , we just can't save them all , I turned so hurt and said bullshit The system failed my sister , failed her kids now is failing my niece , While the counsel sits comfortable in their homes .. Here's the thing the city has pushed the homeless issue upon the citizens to take care of the issue while they talk and talk and pocket the grant money !!! The city can build a sports park hug sports soccer park and can't figure out how to help the homeless issue and when they are given ideas they blow those off !!! I go out at night and help the homeless ,I pray for them give them tea hot , yesterday a young man I had staying in my backyard who lost his finger to ganggreen , we talked I hugged him asked what's going on his first thing is there is no help available anywhere and when there is it's brief and your back on the streets !!
