I always made sure I was going 33mph in the 35 zone on highway 65 as it passed through Exeter. Nevertheless I was stopped twice by officers, both time with the assertion that I "crossed the center line". Didn't get a ticket though. Looks like a good thing I wasn't travelling with a young woman - who knows what might have happened. It was well known in the 1970’s that you didn’t dare speed in Exeter.
