They took an x-ray and gave one norco for pain and sent me home saying it’s not dislocated and for me to see my primary dr, followed by an imaging center to get an MRI. After getting the notes from my MRI I can see that it says it’s still dislocated by 1cm…I wish they would have told me that at the ER and maybe they could have done something about it, or at least it could be in the notes so that a specialist could see me sooner. It’s been 3 weeks since dislocating my knee, and I am not able to see an orthopedic dr for two month months. I can’t walk. It’s still dislocated. Not all lives can be saved in an ER but if there is one life not saved due to not receiving proper immediate care and treatment upon arrival then that is one life lost too many. ER's are notoriously overwhelmed and understaffed and not enough cubicles/beds. People using the ER as a walk-in clinic with non-life threatening medical needs to be addressed. There has to be some way see and treat those who are walk-ins who do not need/require emergency treatment, perhaps more 24-hour walk-in clinics and it would be a big plus if one could be up and running on hospital grounds, separate from ER but close enough for a quick and speedy transfer if or when required. People go to the ER because they don't either have doctor and/or medical insurance or because their doctor's office is closed for the day or the doctor is too busy to work them into their already overbooked patient load for the day. ER hallways lined with patients on gurneys, non-emergency patients taking nurses and doctors away from serious and possible life threatening injuries/illnesses cannot and should not continued to be ignored. Perhaps one less gift shop and other nonessentials that are taking up space can be used better. Hoping for something positive to finally come about for this ER and every ER for that matter. Travel nurses make quite a lot more $ especially if they use the “50 miles from home to work “ the pa is increased quite a bit but not the pay they were getting during the C Flew. Tom Johnson was CEO, knew they nearly lost her 3X’s from neglect of diagnosis., injuries etc He sat with feet propped on his desk & scribbled a couple of things on his styrofoam coffee cup. He was more than disrespectful, he was clear “EE DONT CARE & NO ATTORNEY WILL TOUCH A UITT”. They know you have to go way down South or up North for Attorney however for injuries there’s a $250,00 limit & no Attorney can work for that small amount. Thank God a group nurses who cared for her for 4 1/2 months WARNED ME to coal in an outside Specialist, he saved her life. Never leave a family member alone the entire stay!! I have personally witnessed sick behavior from specific staff members, including Shelby and Jessica. On several occasions, they were observed standing around or on their phones instead of assisting patients in need of care. I can recall many Incidents where patients were left untreated or passed away under circumstances involving these individuals. There are multiple accounts of staff negligence being ignored or coverup. While Kaweah does have some good doctors and nurses, there are many more shitty once. They do not know what they're doing. I had another scary experience with another birth while the cna was giving my baby a very rough & fast bath. Some of those nurses are rude loud & careless. I recommend this hospital to no one! I pray this family seeks justice & peace & this hospital gets major consequences I’ve had 2 scary experiences there while giving birth with both anesthesiologist for both pregnancies. And they saved his life I’m thankful for the good people I do remember my husband calling saying they put him in a freezer but he was out of it on and off but I’m greatful the good but there’s always going to be bad in a bunch not all of kaweah is bad Hey my husband got an infection from Tulare hospital almost died didn’t wake for a few days they transferred him to kaweah. Etc. this hospital is so bad and someone needs to pay attention and fire these nurses who do absolutely nothing but gossip! They chose this profession for the wrong reasons! Most ignorant people ever! I hope they get a huge payout!
