So now we are going to build how much more new housing? We need to understand that government at every level is against, not for us.

Don't we lose an enormous amount of water to run off. This happens when we lay concrete and pavement and then you have to consider the water that flows from the river to the sea. We've made a progress but we can do a lot more restore wetlands but we lose everything to development including farmland. Conservation efforts will never be enough with all the development that is going on so we need to get our act together before we're prohibited from showering daily.

California will never be what it was 300years ago. Too much has changed. We now have damsthat prevent widespread flooding. Every waterway is regulated by atleast one water agency.. thereason we built out was because of promises from state and federal agencies that haven't kept thier word due to changes in the politics of the environment. I have a deep respect for Greg, but his vision is not practical, just as mine is not possible with the current political system. Not sure either of us is best for the long term future, but a starting point.
