The pump house has only continued to become better with Nate behind the bar. He is smart, efficient and a hard worker. The bar itself has been a go to spot in our community for as long as I can remember. What’s changed is and eclectic group of people enjoy themselves without drama! Nate had an eye for keeping things running smoothly. I feel welcomed by a huge smile and fast service even when at full capacity he remains calm and collected! Not just anyone can handle the pressure but Nate can. Articles like this mean nothing to the people who support Nate and his work ethic. In a world of constant change he has rose to the occasion. Supporting anything less than good energy, kind words and one sided opinions is what we won’t even acknowledge! Keep your head up Nate, smile you know you’re a good man that works hard that’s all that matters!

And the comments regarding the many drunk nurses is right on par with nearly all the customers of The Pump House. Although there is a law which states it’s illegal to serve alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated. It’s all about the money though. I’ve carried my share of drunken nurses out a lot of bars. Nurses are notorious for over indulging

Your family member recieved a DUI because they drove drunk, not because the Bär exists. The nurses are there unwinding after a shift on their own accord, as educated and competent adults, making their own choices to drink. Are the bar staff supposed to take keys at the door? How would you pirpose any bar put an end to drunk driving other than the adult drinking making the choice not to?
Its not a local bars fault.

The Pump House has always been been the true meaning of a dive bar. Everyone who has managed it has had money “disappear”. Had my fair share of free drinks there. Pump House is notorious for drug use and the violence that comes with.

This place is horrible anyway. They continuously allowed nurses from the hospital to drink quite a few and then drive home. How do I know? I went there one day searching for my family member and several of the nurses I knew were there. I was told they go there after almost EVERY SHIFT! It is the reason my family member received a DUI after leaving that bar. They had/have the ability to stop drunk driving but they don’t care. It isn’t like it’s a big place and they had MANY frequenters in the mornings.
