“First off, this post is meant in fun”…… guess you really didn’t believe that…… and then your “don’t be so presumptuous or judgmental” you don’t really believe in that either nor practice what you preach…. Et tu Natcho…. talk about someone being insensitive. As for Ms. Lieberman, she is indeed a quick witted and awesome writer with her tongue in the cheek writing style! Thoroughly enjoy her articles and look forward to seeing more of them.

First off, this post is meant in fun but alot of people in nyc portray they are content eating anywhere when on a date. which is probably why he "probed" you with his gaze. i truly believe he just wanted to get to know you. the real you, on a fathers day when he could be be anywhere else. you should be flattered. He didnt just want to know what food you would tolerate but what you could really go for right now. he was hoping youd proclaim with excitement, something to the affect, like "omg i totally L U V me some Hot Cheetos!" or something like that. or maybe he took u to a few places and you just stood there and blinked (uncontrollably, no i'm jus kidding). when you asked him how his family could have possibly survived, he probably felt a little judged as the bi-product of a creature that unfortunately escaped death before multiplying (like step on it now, before it lays eggs). how could you bring up such an evil, terrible, horrible, hurtful, aweful, hateful moment in his family's past as if it were some weird ice breaker. obviously it might be a sensitive topic. but especially when at a table about to scarf down some food, really? he was interesed in you, not trying to pry into your familys life. so he kept it real and didnt want to offend when he got to wondering if thats all you actually do in life is write. and he did at least try to express his interest in your work out routine And in your cauliflower! flattered much? not chu. he prob went to the bathroom to see if there was a window. and last, he didnt offer to walk u home because not only did he probably see right off that it could never work out between you two, but also that you were too reserved and regarded. men are not mind readers, when on a date, dont be so presumptuous or judgemental when you couldnt possibly know whats in his mind or heart, open up, be yourself yet kind and respectful, or as my mother would say: be who you feel most comfortable being, which is probably the realest and happiest version of yourself entyways.
