There is no doubt you understood this as a perfectly acceptable usage of the word “gypsy.” Your divisive response is typical of those who wish to signal their own virtue rather than address the actual issue. You are the problem.

Also I was homeless and used one of the shelters and went to a drug rehab program and now I’m not homeless and it was a great help

The one word that is entirely missing from these comments is
_responsibility!
_ If you will not at least expend some effort providing for yourselves, then yes, tghose of us who make efforts to feed and house ourselves will lose patience! If all you do is to beg on the streets and ruin our public spaces with your drug habits then those of us who pay the bills will exert our rights too! One of your group recently set fire to three business in Visalia. You get no sympathy from me!

That was 3 years in a nutshell of my life. I’d love to see the amount of money spent since homeless or not I’m a taxpayer.68 dollar refund this year made me so warm and fuzzy

This HOPE TEAM DOES NOTHING BUT HARRASS AND TICKET PEOPLE KNOW MATTER WHERE WE GO .THERE IS NO LEGAL PLACE TO BE HOMEESS IN THE CITY OF VISALIA. DO TAXPAYERS EVER LOOK AT HOW MUCH MONEY IS SPENT ON THE HOPE TEAM? THEN COURT tIME JAIL TIME? OR WAIT WHAT ABOUT TAKING bencHES AND GAZEBOES OUT of parks? Or building fences on sante fe trail because the mayor lives there? Quite a bit of money that could have been built a shelter! And wait ..we all bleed red I can’t have a 4 wheel wagon in a park but a no homeless person can?And the only shelter in town says u have topee in a cup and pray to their God or u can’t get in? We were left on streets when COVID hit like zombies …homeless people are here y deny us bathrooms and showers. I’ve done this for 3 years and all the services out there have done nothing…now there excuse is no landlords . Shame on Visalia trillions of dollars just wasted on giving out tickets and taking people’s things that taxpayers don’t look at. We’re not the problem the governor is ..please someone tell me where it’s legal for me to lay down wether it’s day or night without me breaking a law.. NOWHERE
