I spent 22 years with the CDCR before retiring in 2020. My whole time was spent as a civil service employee as MSSI, MSSII, PCMII, WMII, and ended my career as a PSOII. I have been witness to all the hard work of good people trying to keep our state safe. Like most people I would have liked to see violent or prone to violence individuals stay locked up in the system we have designed for these individuals. However during my last few years I witnessed the growth of oversight of the Medical area. Even those sworn to protect but get promoted suddenly find themselves as puppets to Sacramento and instead of voicing their true feelings they succumb to pressure and become weak as Wardens, and executive supervisors. That is the real shame. You see people you felt would actually say something about the direction Sacramento has gone fall to "yes people". That is the real shame. The moral of great people sworn to protect in uniform bear the brunt of the shameful policies being implemented. good luck in trying to overturn or stop the implementation of the early release.
