As we discussed on the phone when you called to complain, and you agreed this is the case, I did not take your comments out of context. Rather, I reported them exactly as spoken by you, as can be easily confirmed by the recording.

Further, you claimed to have been addressing members of the audience when you made your comments, however, you never stated that. This is also reflected in the recording of your comment.

You were, in fact, addressing the supervisors, and as the meeting is broadcast in audio only, your sarcasm was not clear to anyone other than yourself and possibly those in the room with you. Your failure to communicate effectively and without resorting to harsh satire is the reason your quote appears to misrepresent your actual sentiment, and it is not an artifact of my reporting.
