How unsurprising that this is what the city council is choosing to do after also choosing to dissolve the environmental positions in our local government recently. These council members are restricting representation, assigning seats that are supposed to voted for by residents, and destroying the one thing of real value that Visalia has- undeveloped land that can be farmed or taken care of to protect the ecosystems that support us. How dare they use homelessness and the need for affordable housing to hide behind while they sell us all out. If we need affordable housing, create more protections for renters and homeowners, we’re in a drought ffs we don’t need more houses, we need access to all of the houses that are here already.
