Actually how individuals conduct themselves privately can be a window into their personal character, especially when their political party claims to be a family values party (hold my beer while I stop choking with laughter on that one). If there are storm warnings abound in a political candidate’s private life then one would be crazy not to evaluate the depth and scope of those warnings. ALL POLITICIANS are subjected to dirty linen being aired publicly. I concur with Ms. Bryant’s statement if one can’t take the heat then one should stay out of the kitchen.

The Valley Voice team debated over writing about Mr. Mathis’ second divorce. We decided to report on it because his family was an integral part of his re-election campaign, especially against Warren Gubler. In addition, information came out in his first divorce that constituents may deem as making Mr. Mathis as unfit to hold office. The same may happen during his second divorce. We would be happy to leave the family out of politics but its the politicians that makes their family part of getting elected.

But we should have so many million gallons more of water. Trump signed this mighty memo:

Then he came to Bakersfield to bloviate about it. He said, “But we got over the fact that I said, “Boy, that’s a beautiful area, but why is everything else barren?” And it’s because of water. You send millions and millions of gallons out. And we have now given full permission that you don’t do that anymore. We have given – and the hard – the hard permits were, by the way, the federal permits. The state could do this with a flick of the governor’s hand. And we hope that he’s going to do it because it makes so much sense.”

So where’s all the water he promised?
