Many years ago, at a public meeting concerning the proposal to have HCA manage the hospital, a brave young nurse questioned the trust worthiness of Benzeevi. She pointed out that his brother was being investigated by the FBI. She was shouted down by Tulare city officials including, I believe the mayor. (Was it Kumar or Kamboj who shouted, “Madam, Madam, please sit down. You have a problem with doctors!). So, in retrospect, some of the good people of Tulare recognized this criminal early on. It was the city officials , along with many others , most notably Parmod Kumar, who aided and abetted this thug, Benzeevi. Everyone involved was chasing the dollars.

Kumar clealy knew what was going on. He continues to practice in Visalia. He greatly harmed our community. When does he face justice?

Glad to see that Benzeevi, Greene and Germany’s accountability for the downfall of our hospital is finally being adjudicated. It would be fair to say that there are others who’s feet should be held to the fire as well; Sherrie Bell, Parmod Kuma, Rosalinda Avitia, Laura Gadke, and Richard Torrez for their initial sell out of TDH and of course later Linda Wilbourn who continued the Board’s protection of TRMC’s Benzeevi and Kumar. These individuals dishonored their oath of office with their reckless and flagrant disregard for the health and welfare of the hospital, its employees, and the citizens of Tulare who had mistakenly put their trust in them.
