“Innocent until proven guilty” is the rule in criminal proceedings. This is a civil matter. The allegations aren’t proven because they haven’t been addressed by the court yet. Here’s another allegation: This pig drunkenly hit on my wife and other women at a league of Cities Conference several years ago. There was nothing illegal, but considering Mathis was/is married, it was certainly inappropriate and it sounds like the kind of boorish behavior described in this complaint. I wish Miss. Sustaita the best if her allegations are true.
