According to a 2019 state audit of the CSU budget - www.bsa.ca.gov/pdfs/reports/2018-127.pdf (page 48) - Fresno State’s budget surplus as of June 2018 was $94 million! For university President Castro to claim FSU’s rainy day fund is only $9 million is disingenuous and patently false.

Eliminating 18 positions reinforces the fact that administration is top heavy. If they were so essential why not cut administrative salaries across the board by 25%? That would save the 18 positions. The leadership of this school continues to turn a university into a 4 year community college.
