Three chickens do not make that big of a mess and are easy to clean up after. To have them eggs everyday is a big help especially for low income people like me and the fertilizer for my garden to grow my own food I agree no roosters. Looks like we are trying to become the new Selma instead than become the damn city of reference for kings County. You are wondering why none wants to come to this place! None wants to put up with the local institutions when Visalia is behind the corner. Everyone that has a minimum of career or culture will gladly travel 15 minutes out of town not to be harassed by the city that will fine you too have the wrong tree or grass in the front yard but encourage you to have chickens in the backyard... Chickens are tacky, smelly and bring diseases. Never in my life I've seen a NICE neighborhood that allows chicken!... ALWAYS AND ONLY IN THE HOOD and that's what you guys are going to lead us to become everywhere I Hanford. Get a grip Will we ever evolve in a better place? This was merely the first reading which passed 5-0, there is the second reading to take place as of yet.
