September 20: Global Climate Strike Presentation

John Austin, a resident of Tulare County who is active in science education, will make a presentation about how our climate has changed over the past 500 million years and how it is projected to change over the coming decades. many of the conditions we see today have been changing since Tulare County was first settled in the mid-1800s, and they have been changing even faster since the 1970s. September 22: Our Lady of Fatima Celebration

Parade, carnival, free barbecue lunch, live and silent auctions as well as sweet shop.starting in downtown Visalia at 9:30am.  Mass will be celebrated 10:30am at St. Mary’s.200 Race Avenue Visalia CA 93291. A free barbecue will be served starting at 11am. Carnival games and The Sweet Shop on the grounds of The Catholic School 12:00pm – 3:00pm., George McCann Memorial campus.  Live and silent auctions 1pm. This is our school’s largest fundraiser of the year.

September 23: Tulare’s 7th Annual Night at the Library

Selected books are brought to life with the help of local actors, staging and displays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tulare Public Library, 475 N. M St. (M Street and Cross Avenue) in Tulare. Silent auction, entertainment by the Tulare Community Band, and the ‘Friends of the Library Candy Shoppe’. Tickets $50, and include catered foods beer and wine. Attendees must be 21 years old. September 23: Annual West Hills Community College Foundation Golf Tournament

President’s Scholars Golf Tournament will kick off at the club on Sept. 23 with a 9:00 a.m. shot gun start.  Registration is $200 per golfer, with lunch, breakfast snacks and a $50 gift certificate for pro shop merchandise included. Visalia Police Department, in conjunction with the National Association of Town Watch, will be celebrating the 36th annual National Night Out party. October 13: Fire Prevention Week 2019

The Visalia Fire Department will be hosting Fire Trucks and Food Trucks along with Tulare County Fire and Cal Fire to close out National Fire Prevention Week. Fire Trucks and Food Trucks will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00pm on Main St. Between Church & Bridge. This is a free event that will allow citizens the opportunity to interact with the on duty fire personnel and participate in activities such as an obstacle course and Stop, Drop and Roll. November 8 and 9: Over the Edge

The Source LGBT+ Center will host the second annual Visalia Over The Edge fundraiser event at Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center. Participants will rappel from the 8th floor of the hotel, after raising a minimum of $1,000 for the center. We would like to invite you to join the members of the Visalia Electric Railroad Modelers and Historical Society for a fun family activity that is sure to put you in the Christmas Spirit!
