Really to bad patience wasn’t implemented with this board to negotiate with CMC regarding the bond. If there was negotiating why wasn’t it explained? Sorry to be the wet blanket here but when you have 3 hospitals telling you that it will take a lot of money, improvements and time to have everything up to their standards,and because of all these issues it’s impossible for them to open by Oct, but you have AH saying they can? Excuse me shouldn’t you ask yourself what is AH standards ? apparently not that high if a good portion of their citizens who are able to choose a hospital out of this area do. We should be a hospital with high standards for all It’s citizens ! Sorry my family is not going to use a hospital that is just trying to get the doors open by Oct, Yes Tulare will have a Hospital but at what cost? Not good for the patients and not good for Tulare. Do your homework before you vote and lock this town into mediocre healthcare.

Gene I’m not so sure the old doctors not coming back is such a bad thing. Was Tulare some great hospital before? Your statement implies that the only way for Tulare to have a great hospital is for the old doctors to come back and I absolutely disagree with that. I’m sure some of the old doctors are great but they’re not the only great doctors in the world. If Adventist is mid level like you claim wouldn’t mid level be an improvement on what we had? I will say this mid level is certainly better than no hospital.

I have spoken to several nurses and doctors who used to work at TRMC before it closed. The fact that Adventist is taking over non of the doctors have shown interest to return. That means the “new” Tulare hospital at best will be a mid level run hospital. Good luck.

Fresno said they would help but only after a bond… Adventist said they would help right away. Fresno said they would still be interested if it falls through with Adventist so going with Adventist lost nothing and gave us a chance to open quickly. So clearly the board has thought of what to do if Adventist doesn’t accomplish what they claim… however, i don’t think it will come to that.

J forget transparency. They are all a bunch of hypocrites. Going on forward, all control of the hospital is out of our hands. It’s interesting that Northcraft and his supporters wanted to “take our hospital back” to just completely give it up with zero control. I really question what alternative motivations there are. Somebody is getting a deal under the table. We citizens just want a good hospital and I hope that Adventist can do that. If Adventist fails to do what they claim, then what is the next step? Have you thought of that board members?
