Of course we all want a fully functioning hospital. I totally agree with you. That said, my question is…….what if this hospital doesn’t reopen…..does this hospital board have some type of Plan B in mind? Having some idea of possible back up plans just in case is not giving up…..it is simply having a generalized backup plan in place JUST IN CASE! Trying to be practical doesn’t mean being disloyal……….. or does it?

Of course it must be stipulated that it should remain a fully functioning hospital! That’s what we’re fighting all this for. If not, they could turn it into a day-care! We lost control last time; we must fight for a fully functioning hospital! With proper control, a good contract and board oversight (which the previous board gave away) we’d be willing to fund a bond.

So we now have a questionable and highly improbable “HELL MARY PASS”, an appointed RFP committee to come up with ideas/suggestions for…….??…. and a set-in-stone board determination that NOTHING but a hospital will be considered!! GEEZ……. Since we are “in a state of emergency” one prays that there is at the very least a contingency plan “IF” all else fails.

I don’t think I would be telling the bidders you want this to Stay a hospital and nothing else….. just be glad you have anyone even interested in this mess! Hoping it all works out and ends this 5 year ongoing nightmare
