It has only been set up by one person to feed his ego, as well as to attempt to deflect a likely protest at the next council meeting. Yes, seating is certainly limited in the Senior Center, but don't think that you have to RSVP. That only is feeding into someone's ego. Given the public outcry over latest remarks, there should have been some foresight to hold it at a larger facility (high school auditorium, stadium, etc), considering the amount of concerned people. Frankly, I don't think anyone should attend, because again, it only feeds into one person's ego. It would be interesting to know who is going to moderate this so-called town hall meeting? Certainly not the one who called the meeting; where would be the fairness in that? It should be someone neutral and definitely not a crony of the one who called it. Also, how is it going to be assured that Everyone gets a voice and their questions asked? And how will it be assured that their questions are answered and not ignored? What happens at 9:00 if more people's concerns still need to be brought up? Is it going to be lights out just because it's 9:00? For anyone who has seen a Council meeting in one form or another, sometimes those go for hours on end. There would have be no reason at all for a "town hall" meeting to be called on agriculture if certain comments had not been made. Rather, a TRUE town hall meeting should be had on our current city council and city attorney, and the utter disgust and lack of faith which the majority of citizens have in them. Unfortunately, I'm sure any of the true issues will either not be allowed to be asked at this meeting, or if they are, they will be ignored under the guise that agriculture is the only topic of the meeting.
