At will employee might of worked Before they put him on leave for months. Then stated that they were gonna hire a outside investigator to investigate Hensley Now after he found NOTHING they fire hime on At Will. It does not work that way. Tulare city puts Hensley on leave as if he did something wrong, Then Jones talks on the radio telling everyone listening that he agrees with the city manager on putting him on leave, After all this they pull out the AT WILL. Any city that Hensley applies to will look at all this media and rightfully so move on to the next person. Hensley career is over not because of any fault other than a city Mayor Jones getting caught with his fingers in the tax payers cookie Jar. Jones should loose his spot on any city board. Nunley is another one who I think is going to be found out of all his dealing with the city and his company. When you find out what he owed before he was elected and then what it changes too after. FRAUD……

On thing I do understand is that the city leaders and its council members thinks that we the tax paying citizens of Tulare who are the payers of their salaries are on a “need to know basis”, IF they think we need to know then they will “think” about sharing information. There is not and for many years have not been daylight shown by City Managers and City Council members……they believe in keeping everyone in the dark so they can spin their yarns at will!

What I don’t understand is didn’t Mayor Jones claim on the radio that he supported the City Managers choice of placing the Chief on leave and that he was privy and informed as to why making it seem as though there was cause? Yet they fire him as an at will employee and specifically “without cause”. Also all these people making claims that he was a horrible chief then why was he terminated “without cause”?

It’s funny, I asked a young Hispanic cop driving down the street, “Do you guys support your Chief?” He replied “I don’t know? Not really sure how to answer you.”…..That whole exchange tells me NO or at the very least some officers don’t support the Chief. Either way it’s very simple. Have a vote by all officers. If the majority support him, hire him back.

If he doesn’t get the majority vote, hire a new Chief or promote from inside. There has to be someone with the skills.

Pull Tom Munoz out of retirement. He should have been our chief in the first place.. All of these young Tulare cops with guns, would be trained much better…. or fired before the destroying this town… leadership here is a joke.

Don't believe any of Tulare's council or employees should be involved in this Skelly hearing. They are complicit since they "allowed" this to happen by not standing up to Jones and his buddy. Waiting for those female attornies to decide if they will have this hearing? Remember they allowed this too. Good luck Chief backing you 100%. Keep on fighting!
