It isn’t the Assemblyman doing the slamming. If you read what has been put out you will find that it for the most part looks to be politically motivated. The first time he ran for office they thought he couldn’t win, the second time they threw money at his opponent, in one case about $500,000. They didn’t beat him. This story was published two days before the CAGOP Convention in Anaheim, interesting timing.

We don’t need Mathis. We should be trying to get along and unite the country. All I see him doing is slamming the other party which just causes more divide. Our politicians today have divided families and friends more than ever. He needs to go….

I have to correct part of your story. My name is Ruth Seeser, I am not a family member. I’m a former staff member, I left because I was needed to. The Assemblyman was always a gentleman around me, I attended a lot of events where he was present both as part of my job and as a volunteer. I still volunteer for her his office if they need any extra help. If I had been treated in a disrespectful manner believe me I wouldn’t be there.
I hope that the young ladies who were out front take the time to learn the truth.
As for me I have known it all along because of my experience with him.

The protesters were not there when Assemblyman Mathis arrived..so one of them gave you false info..when the event started there were only the three high school students. Again false accusations!

Just one more damaged Republican holding public office that needs to be voted out. Too bad that those registered Tulare County voters who actually take the time and effort to vote probably won’t vote these bums out! Need to get out the vote folks and send these bums packing! BTW Mathis may have been cleared on his sexual assault issues but he has other troubling issues still on his plate. As for Mr. Cox and his leadership skills…. I am still laugh when I think of his rhetoric and actions regarding the cats Mooney’s Grove.

I was glad to attend the campaign kick off , I fully support Devon and everything he stands for , as far as the protesters go , they were protesting something that was already laid to rest , very unproductive on their part , I will continue supporting Devon and his reelection campaign.

It was not a high school student who made the remark. It was an older woman, and she was responding to Mr. Mathis’ highly tone deaf commentary. .
