A competent people would have placed the chief on leave and IMMEDIATELY started the investigation. But there I go expecting basic competency. As it is over a hundred days have passed and supposedly investigators have finally been hired. Based on how this has been mismanaged it will be another three months before they get around to beginning the actual investigation. Or maybe this is simply what others have suggested: suspending the guy on trumped on charges and hoping to run out the clock. Either way, time to wrap this up and stop wasting the city's money and time. Incompetence and/or malfeasance continue to be standard operating procedure down at city hall in this matter. Push comes to shove Carlton can be taken care of when or if he decides to run for reelection. That said we are still left with Carlini and Carlton's personal attorney/City Attorney Ms. Phillips. Time to clean out the city swamp.
