It is beyond belief to me that Dr. Benzeevi doesn’t realize HE and HCCA are the small group of people hellbent on destroying the community. It is HIS antics that have already caused a catastrophe at OUR public hospital. Employees paychecks are bouncing, vendors and doctors are not being paid, HCCA attempting to borrow $22 million that the taxpayers will have to repay for operational expenses, the California Department of Public Health substantiating the hospital was responsible for the deaths of two patients and the retention of surgical equipment in a third patient because they allowed the operating room to be staffed by only one surgical team on weekends and after hours causing surgeries to be interrupted to attend to other emergency surgeries…a practice that the former MEC was trying to stop, but when they were replaced by the new MEC, the surgeon responsible for the majority of the after hours surgeries was placed in charge of the surgical committee and the discussion of the unsafe practice stopped. Giving the administration to an unqualified, inexperienced, inept company that benefits from the worst contract in the history of hospital contracts is the farce, and not seating a board member that won her district with 81% of the vote is what is disappointing…very, very, disappointing.
