We Deserve Better!

Dear Neighbor,

Over the last few months I have knocked on over 1,100 doors and have had the honor to talk to hundreds and hundreds of our neighbors about what type of community we would like to live in.

The overwhelming majority have shared with me that they would like to live in a community where are families are safe, one where we get our Fair Share of Resources and one where we have a Council Member who will be Active, Engaged and Responsive.

Like you I live on the west side and see every day the need for more resources, attention and investment in our community. We Deserve Better on the west side!

· We Deserve a Fire and Police Department that is properly staffed and equipped to protect our families,

· We Deserve increased police patrols, expanded neighborhood watch programs and a re-opened police substation at Mulcahy Park,

· We Deserve the delivery of quality city services,

· We Deserve reduced crime and shootings on the west side,

· We Deserve more jobs, businesses, restaurants and stores, and

· We Deserve a Council Member who can bring our community together to find solutions to the problems and challenges we face together.

I agree with the sentiments of our neighbors that no one is standing up for us. This is why I am running for the city council, to work with you to get our fair share of resources, give our community a strong voice at city hall, make our neighborhoods safe and improve the quality of life on the west side.

I have the experience, energy, passion and dedication needed to start working from day one to make our community a better place to live in. My pledge to you is to be an Active, Engaged and Responsive council member.

I hope I can earn your vote. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 559-759-7454 or by email at jose_sigala@yahoo.com

Sincerely,

JOSE SIGALA
Candidate, Tulare City Council District 1

Two Clarifications: I was not on Council when they hired Don Dorman. I do feel that Don Dorman helped the Council achieve big accomplishments with the new procedures that we have implemented. Second the City has not stopped approving new building permits. We will find ways to keep the doors open while we work on the water system.

Mr. Sigala comes across as a well rounded informed individual with a wealth of experience to get things done. I appreciate his vision for Tulare as a probable hub for High Tech opportunities while at the same time acknowledging the deficits that exist on the West Side a cross the tracks. We need a leader to bring the community together, we need a leader that recognizes injustice, and more importantly we need a leader willing to lead and take on a role that requires the kind of attention Mr. Sigala has already addressed as his platform for election. I'm giving you my support Mr. Sigala, let's do this.
