She won't. The only reason she ran was to feather her own nest. Nothing will change.

SEIU , which is most county employees, got a 1% cost of living increase, and the insurance went up 8-11%. Doesn't pay well to not be upper management in Tulare County. Hopefully Amy S. Will help create a culture that rewards the hard working employees in this county. When the county does salary surveys for employees they dont compare our salaries to counties that pay more, just to counties that pay within 5%, and there no salary adjustment. Yet, the board gets to include Merced and Kings who on average pay their employees more, sure way to get an increase for the board. Open your eyes people.

It's very interesting our conservative elected officials have a need for cost of living raises every single year but will not hesitate to vote down and dissent raises to the minimum wage.

I work for the county and nobody I know received anything near a six percent increase. If they're going to compare neighboring county wages I would like to see them do the same for the low level employees.

This is the one and only reason that Amy Shucklian ran for office. As a former county employee and a tax payer, I am livid! I have gotten no5thing but grief from this county. If I had the money, I'd leave tomorrow.

Rhonda Sjostrom, head of Human Resources, reported that county employees received an average of a 6% raise for this fiscal year.

This must have been a typo, right it was 1%.

Glad they make enough to pay for family benefits. It sucks that average county worker can barely afford individual coverage.
