We hired the Kent Hopper Bend to play at my Grandparents 50th in Modesto and use to listen to hemp in Santa Nella many years ago. My friend Susan Madruga from Newman was a good friend of Kent and mine. The were amazing. I now live in Fresno.

I have to say to Kent, I’ve traveled everywhere and I’ve always looked for that special radio personality……….They are not out there. They have no sense of humor or talent. Listening, parthing, with you and Johnny Plummer on the radio and in the clubs turns out I would never laugh that hard ever again. I guess THOSE WERE THE BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE! I’m glad you’re apart of that. I’ve missed you!

Kent has a great singing voice. He spent several years fronting The Kent Hopper Band. Truly a great singer and a very popular band. I should know; I spent those years staring at my brother’s backside and playing guitar. I had the time of my life thanks to him. I wish we could go back to those days sometimes. I spend my time now loving my family, writing appeals, playing the blues, and taking pleasure where I find it. Thanks for some of the best years of my life brother.

P.S.: actually his first radio job was that KMAK in Fresno working the midnight shift. I know because I used to go with him.

OMGOSH, I have to confess I don't listen to the radio and haven't in quite a few years! Growing up in Orange County Ca in the 60's-70's radio was a huge part of our lives. Not sure we would have survived without Casey Kasem, especially when living in Iwakuni Japan in 1977-78, listening to him gave me a sense of being home I just have to say Mr. Kent Hopper I think your adorable and the fact that you are a Raiders fan gives you a golden ticket I think I'm going to tune you in on my radio in my house and car, just want to tell you I think your Bio is amazing and I pray my grandchildren will grow into their full potential and do great things with their life's, more importantly do what they love and help others along the way Thank you for sharing your amazing story may you be blessed with many more years of happiness and entertainment
