Myself, 15 years logging, sawmills and longshore During my time in Humboldt County. Then there was the Timber Initiative which shut down logging through out Northern California and destroyed a way of life due to special interest groups. As being a resilient individual and a seasoned woodsman, I went into wildland fire, 2 years with Cal Fire and 26 years U.S. Forest Service. Retired in 2011. My main concerns for Calif. is the Democratic socialistic party and the "Hollywood elite" and their special interest groups and possible ties with scientology. Another problem is sanctuary cities and illegal immigration. Everyday there are hundreds of people that go through the legal process for citizenship. My wife and I went through it because she's a Filipina. And she's very proud to be a American citizen. Another thing is our tax dollars being directed towards Southern California. That's just not right!! Hopefully with Allen Ishida there might be hope to sent things right!! Being a republican in California is 1 thing but being a "low-level" official in a county nobody ever heard of that anotherl. And, If he cares so much about employment why hasn't he started with Tulare co where we have one of the highest unemployment areas and is probably the "food stamp capital" of California? All the sups do it seems is give themselves and the big shots pay raises. There all republicans and make big money on the public troth. And, the step up thing is a joke. Look at the gangs and crime we have. And, They don't know how to run the courts and jails right. And, why is Tulare co being sued all the time? Why is there no accountability in the depts? the county has laid people off and the big shots get raises. They can't even keep the library open al teast 6 days week when it should be 7!
