I rate increase of 62% in one shot is asking a lot from the citizens of Hanford. And a total increase of 89% is absolutely ridiculous. The city is basically punishing all of us for their lack of foresight. An increase of that magnitude should take place over a decade or more. I understand an increase is needed, and I'm ok with that. However, the city needs to find another solution for the immediate need and propose a much more tolerable rate increase.
