My dog jumped into the filthy pond and I got her pulled out by the leash before her face hit the water. I was horrified, the whole pond has layers and layers of dead animals on the perimeter. Even rats are decomposing. The little girl was almost hysterical and we got out as soon as we could. I stopped at the ticket booth and asked why the park was littered with dead animals. He said, "0h, we have botulism and everything dies here". What about my dog? "Good luck", he said. Five days later we are on the way for an emergency appointment for my dog. Strangest symptoms ever. Today she is no longer able to walk. I called the Grand Jury. They are working on it but it's going to take some time. I should turn in a report to them so they can start working on it at the next session. They supposedly had the water, the stinky, algae, dead animal water came back clean. For those of us who love our pets, and for those of us that should never bring a child there, CLOSE IT DOWN. I took a an 11 year old child and my dogs, on leash, to the pond. Why the negative attitude? Mooney's Grove, in its present condition, is disgusting.
