The Kings Lions Club has announced that tickets are available (to those 21 and over) for beer tasting and food at 19th Avenue Park (formerly Viera Field) in Lemoore on Saturday, June 14, from 5-9pm. All proceeds from the Annual Kings Lions Brewfest will be used to benefit local charities and families.

“Money raised on June 14th will allow Lions to meet pressing needs in our community including scholarships, free eye exams, glasses and eye surgeries for those in need, youth sports, school supplies for children and much, much more,” said Dr. Jeffrey Garcia, club president of Kings Lions Club. “In addition, for this year, we have selected three community groups to receive donations during the Kings Lions Brewfest: the NAS Lemoore Aviators Memorial Foundation, the Sarah A. Mooney Museum and the Badge of Brothers.”

The Kings Lions Club has 33 members and meets on the first, second and fourth Wednesdays at 6:30pm at the Lemoore Civic Auditorium. Lions clubs are groups of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to meet those needs. For more information, call 924-4417 or 707-5957. Tickets are $35 and may also be purchased online at www.flavorus.com/kingslionsbrewfest2014.

“Lions members thank everyone who contributes to this important fundraiser,” Garcia added. “You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community. With over 60 event sponsors and the Marie Wilson Band once again providing the music, this could be the largest Brewfest the city of Lemoore has ever seen.”
